My first child was breech…so at 39 weeks, 4 days…we went in after him. It was quite easy, painless and very very fast. The recovery was a bit painful..but really only for about 2 days…then it just tapered off slowly from pain the ache to soreness.
For baby number 2 I just opted for the repeat c-section. I had long ago lost my desire for natural child birth, I just wanted the baby. Since I really had no idea how my body would even handle labor as I had never been there….so i just went the route I was familiar with. It all worked out well and baby #2 came into this world just as easily as baby #1 and recovery was also pretty good.

A very good friend had a c-section following labor and then a planned one and said….by far…the planned one had a much easier recovery because she had not labored first. I only know a planned one…I’ve now had two babies and zero contractions….fine by me :-) .

My son’s birth was induced and it didn’t go well. I never got to the pushing stage and he ended up facing the wrong way so when I had a contraction his breathing would stop. He was and emergency c-section, I had an asthma attack and spent 24 hours in the ICU. He was fine. With our daughter it was a planned c-section, I had an epidural, I was awake and it was wonderful compared to the other one. I did heal quickly from both.

And I now feel that someone knows just how I felt right now. I also lost my baby last March 14. And the pain is so hard to bear, it feels like my heart is crushed. I still find myself crying everyday, but I am trying hard to be strong. I miss our baby boy, Seraphiel.

You are an inspiration to me and I know that Madelyn is blessed to have you as her mom. She is a beautiful baby.
