Julie from the Root of all Evel has had a wonderfully creative idea which we have been discussing for several weeks. We would like to invite all of you to get involved with us and help make this project a success. However, before you commit, you would probably like to hear a little more about the idea.
The idea is to build a web-site for bereaved parents. The site will include everything from links to other support sites, loss songs and poems, gifts for bereaved parents (both made by us as well as links to other sites who create memorials), an advice column for anyone who wants to provide support to people they know who have lost a child, loss book reviews, baby books geared towards loss situations, and more! Some gift ideas we have e-brainstormed include knitting baby hats, beaded jewelry, care packages, and I have a friend in the candle-making business who may be willing to contribute to our cause.
We are very excited about this idea, but we cannot do it alone. We welcome ideas for the site, for gifts, and more immediately as we attempt to name this project. In addition, we would love to have additional people who are willing to contribute to the site on a regular basis. If you are willing to help us brainstorm, or be a constant contributor, please let us know!
